A Fund Raiser and Rally
for John Kerry!
John Kerry for President
of the United States.
Join a politically diverse group including Democratic Party Members, Greens, Independents and Libertarians to raise money and support John Kerry for President of the United States.
People understand the urgency to remove George Bush from the Presidency. I and many others like me have made the decision to support John Kerry for President while continuing to support my local party of choice (The Green Party). Come together for an evening of speakers, music and food. Join us in supporting John Kerry and John Edwards as they take back the office of the Presidency of the United States.
Peace and Love,
Chris Macgowan

- Diane Ford Wood and Russ Scheidler introduce Camouflage & Lace Diane Ford Wood (who wrote Camo's words and music) will introduce and play the section on John Kerry from "Camo & Lace", and then play the song of the same name. Camouflage & Lace is a 96-minute autobiographical audiobook of prose and song written about the time of history when John Kerry was National Coordinator of Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW). A lot has been made of his involvement in VVAW, good and bad, but to many veterans then and now, his speech to Congress in 1971 formed the basis for lifelong activism. Camo is part love letter, and part tribute to the courage of veterans of Vietnam who protested the very war they had just returned from fighting. For Willie Hager, the main character, John Kerry was his biggest inspiration for decades of work on behalf of veterans' rights. Kerry received the first public copy of Camo in Minneapolis on August 26, 2004, from campaign worker Russ Scheidler. Thoughtfully, Kerry said he would listen to every word (he knows almost every person listed on the cover.)
Russ Scheidler (also known as Uncle Russ and Hugin the Bard) will be performing from his most recent CD "Beat Bush Badly" and other projects, including Camo. He is a labor steward with the state of Minnesota and a tireless worker for the Kerry Campaign.

of all ages and is currently teaching at East Metro Music Academy and St.
Joseph's School of Music. Her performance experience includes solo, chamber
recitals, and piano concerto recitals. She also has performed with Tzu-Chi
non-profit organization in the nursing homes in Minneapolis.
- Bob
Nordquist and the Intangibles. This new band formed last Spring
and has played many shows in the Twin Cities. They were joined by
an old friend, Dale Engquist for thier big show at Big Top Chautauqua in
June. Dale added so much to the band that he was named an Intangible. They
spent the summer relearning the Bob Nordquist Songbook as a quartet and
are now booking gigs for this fall and beyond. The Intangibles are:
Bob Nordquist (Vocals, guitar, harmonica, songwriter), Leo Whitebird (Bass,
vocals) formerly of "The New Grass Heads" & "Split Level", Brian Russ
(Percussion) of "The Jameson Drovers" and Dale Engquist (Lead Guitar) of
